The Italian first feature film CRATER (Il Cratere) directed by Silvia Luzi and Luca Bellino is competing for Audience award and Lion of the Future at the 32. Critics’week.

A father-daughter relation ripped from daily life in the Neapolitan hinterland. A deserted place, far away from all Neapolitan stereotypes. As a dream halfway between Visconti’s Bellissima and a reinvention of the neomelodic “musicherello” film genre reduced to its essence. A film of ghosts and absences, suspended and abstract. The revelation of the talented and outstanding Sharon Caroccia, an utter surprise.
